A PINK OMBRE WEDDING
A Wedding at Auberge du Soleil
Pulling a collection of ombré items together can be difficult; however, when ombré is done correctly, it has quite a pleasant visual effect. Fleurs de France created gorgeous ombré floral masterpieces for our dining tables, an elegant ombré bridal bouquet and ombré rows of rose petals for the ceremony aisle. We paired our hues of pink, including our napkins, with rich, gold dining linens. Several key important sensory items to the couple were incorporated throughout the wedding. A tree, which she had grown up playing on, had unfortunately fallen during Hurricane Sandy, so the bride’s father carved her table numbers with the fallen wood. A self-proclaimed “dessert-aholic”, our bride offered several dessert options for guests – including a dessert station, chocolate dipping station, a pink ombré ceremonial cake, and cookie place cards/favors. Finally, a photo booth – complete with wacky costumes and a guest book for the second set of photos, kept guests entertained after dinner.
